A/C: where is low pressure cutout switch? V70-XC70 2001

more data: temps near 100 today ... reading 101F on the dash readout below the time. center vent temp reaches 54F, compressor cuts off, drifts up to 60F, compressor goes on, cools down to 54F, repeats in 45-60 second cycles. Point is that compressor is only on 50-60% of time. If the system could be adjusted so that the low pressure cutout is lower, then AC WOULD reach 40F instead of only 54F.

system was evacuated and recharged by dealer last week.

I am assuming that it is the low pressure cutout which is cycling the compressor. However it could also be a high pressure cutout if such a thing exists in Volvo's control system.
