EMS Warning Light S70 2000

I owned a 240 SE Classic '92. It was in an excellent condition when I traded it in for a S70 2.0T 2000. Prior to purchasing the S70 I had sent it in for inspection by an authroised Volvo service centre (known as Swedish Marque Service Centre). After a "complete" inspection/diagnose, the service advisor told me that the car was in an excellent condition (did approx 79,000 km).

I have been driving the car around for two weeks now when the EMS warning light decided to show up. Took it back to Swedish Marque and I am about RM6,000 ringgit (approx USD 1500) poorer. Man I can't believe my luck!!!

I was told that the I had replace the front O2 sensor, the rear O2 sensor, the throttle unit, exahust and turbo gaskets etc etc. I still can't believe this rip off!!! I have a choice, to take the car back and to a different mechanic. But there aren't many mechanics/workshops here in Malaysia with the right diagnostic tools for S70 of year 2000 mfg, other than the authorised Volvo service centres. I have to choose to be either at their mercy or try my luck again with some other nauthorised mechanics. I chose the former.

Now, can I ask if anyone here had a similar problem? Do both the O2 sensors need to be replaced + the throttle unit? What are other possible causes for this?
