1996 855 T-5 sell or keep? 850 1996

I would suggest you keep it.

I have to admit that sometimes I feel that my car will blow up (in terms of repair expenses) on me, since I have had it for 10 years and 125k miles (it is a 1995 850 turbo sedan), and I have had only a new AC Evap. (6 years ago, for $650, because my lab proved to the dealer that the leak was minute and did not justify a new one) and a new thermostat (2 years ago) from the collection of repairs you mentioned! Mine has been very inexpensive to own it overall so far (I bought it new, with 19 miles on it). A few months back, I estimated that my grand total cost per mile (then after about 120k miles) had been ~35 cents, and that included insurance (fairly high in the Chicago area), special licence plate fees, gas, tires {I had a set of free 50-16 tires from VOLVO as a result of a class action suit), everything! I plan to keep it of course!

I hope mine will not start going downhill any time soon. I do many minor things myself (e.g., some oil changes, spark plugs, etc.) and regular changes of major items, like timing belt, drive belt, brakes, at the dealer or my mechanic.

Good luck with yours!
