S80 Wheel spots S80 2001

I just posted three pictures of some weird spots in the Technical Gallery that have begun appearing on my aluminum wheels just this past week. I have owned the car since new and never seen this phenomonon before now. The most recent service work where somebody other than myself touched the wheels was a brake job 6 weeks ago and the marks have not been visible until just the past few days. I wonder if anybody has some logical explanation for these marks...other than vandalism (which I seriously doubt). Any feedback appreciated.
