O2 replacement questions 850 1997

From http://www.volvospeed.com/Repair/O2sensor2.htm
Have your radio code handy and disconnect your battery ground for 10 minutes or so to reset fuel adaptives. Reconnect battery ground, set radio code, clock time and you are done.

Got a problem with that - we don't have the radio code! Is disconnecting the battery necessary?

Also, would you use a $90 Walker brand O2 over a $120 Bosch one?

Lastly, my parts supplier says he's never heard of this: The new sensor has an added wiring harness/connector. This extra section of wiring is to help keep reference wires from clogging up with various engine deposits over time. When purchasing a new sensor be sure to clarify "turbo" or 'Non-turbo". When you get the new sensor make sure you have the extra wiring harness (it should be connected)

Any comments on that? I'm told that most dealers and shops don't bother with the additional wiring.

Thanks!
