Disconnecting '96 850 Turbo odometer? 850 1996

I'd like to know how to disconnect the odometer on this car, if possible. It's nothing malicious; I'm using my dad's car for a week, and he wants me to pay him per mile. So, I guess it is kind of malicious. But so is charging your own son. I realize that I'd probably lose the spedometer, too, assuming this is possible.
