Guys,
My post explaines why I'm posting this around, but since you seem to have questioned it, here's a summary.
1. Because there's a new sucker born every minute.
2. Because I keep getting indignant responses to the contrary, which means there sure is a "need" for posts like mine, to "get the word out".
3. Because I hate to see people SCREWED out of their hard earned cash.
4. Because I hate to see installation after installation of cone filters located behind a radiator, and people posting how much additional "throttle response" they get, thinking that filter medium and the hot air coming from the radiator are actually doing something for them.
I have a low BS threshold, and this is a reaction to the big-money marketing being done, selling this product en masse, when I think it is a bit untruthful.
If you don't like seeing these posts, kindly don't bother reading it or posting, becasuse there are people out there who NEED to see this information and learn the truth. It is for them that I post, not for you guys who have already seen the info, or still wish to "beat a dead horse".
What motivates me? The fact that I spent $150 of my own money on two of these things before someone like me got the word out. I was actually in the process of recommending the product to someone else at the time. The other fact that motivates me is I received a "threatening letter" about my opinion, and as you can see, the links I've posted have more than just "my opinion".
The "truth" is what I'm talking about.
The "truth" is, the K&N filter won't add power. The "truth" is the K&N, even when freshly oiled as in the test, will admit more dirt. All that for a price.
Your car, your money, your choice.
Mr. P
