ECC INTERIOR CABIN TEMP SENSOR - Faulty S70 1998

ok my ecc blinked for about a year or two. i finally got it diagnosed it was the cabin temp sensor. i asked if this was something i could do my self because i can get parts cheaper than where i get my car serviced. they said sure but only they (dealer) can reset your computer/ecc so it will reconize the new sensor. they gave me some line about once it faults just replacing it won't solve the problem. so i let them fix it since i have to drive two hours to get to a dealership. fyi the richardson, tx dealership rocks for scheduled maint.
