carpet under both passenger side and driver side mats is WET....Why? Help! V70-XC70 2004

hi,
yes some volvos came out of the assembly plant with the a/c evaperator drain tube not properly connected to the firewall so that instead off the evap condesation draining into the engine bay as its supposed to it ends up dripping down under the carpet and underfelt and makes a real mess. go and see your dealer as they will also have strip the carpets (once the drain tube is fixed) to try and dry them out, and thats not easy to do...

steve.
