SLOW Power window 850 1994

Door panel removal isn't necessary to lube the tracks. You can get WL grease in a spray can with that little "straw" that allows application into the track w/o getting it all over creation as it's a slimey mess. To check the regulator for excessive play (slop), you about have to remove the door panel. With it off, put the window about half way down. Grab it at the bottom by each corner and see if it will rock up and down. A little bit of play is normal which indicates your problem is something else but it'll be pretty obvious if it is excessive and the window typically will be "down" towards the front at rest. It was so bad on my 740 ( I had well over an inch of play) that the window just barely went up. Had to come up with a real Rube Goldberg to solve it.
