Auto Climate control durability question 850 1994

Greetings,
have owned several volvos, living in south florida, we use the a/c approx 10 months down here per year. i have had troble and expenses with every model ive owned, i dont think the electronic climate control system is a big problem it seems that the mechanical , compressor, evaporator is where th problems lie.
have replaced a powewr stage resistor, an ecu, a temp sensor on various volvos, but constant grief with all a/c on volvos dating back to 1977, 240 i owned. much less problems with japanese cars i owned,
frankd
southfl
