What is a good alternative 'V' rated tire as an alternative to Michelin MXV4s ? 850 1996

Hello All,

I have a '96 850 GLT wagon that with 195/60R 15 tires. It was originally equipped with Michelin MVX4 Energy radials. Initially, I kept replacing these tires with identical Michelins. I was happy with their performance, but recently ordered Falkens at $53 a pop from Discount Tire. The Falken are "H" rated or good for 130 mph. They were highly rated in a recent Consumer Reports article. Needless to say, I don't plan on driving, nor have I ever driven that fast. Falkens didn't come in "V" rated tires, and the Michelins were becoming too expensive at $130 a pop at the Tire Rack.

Can anyone recommend a good "V" rated tire that is cheaper than the Michelin, say between $60 to $90 a tire? I would like in the future to use "V" rated tires that originally came with the car, but not a Michelin prices.Thanks.

Hugh
