Oil burn - after service; excess oil. Damage? C70 1999

Hi,

New to the forum. Just in case this happened to another C70 (HPT, 5SP Man. Ireland) owner, would like to know what damage was caused (so I can make sure garage fixes).

After I got car back from service, noticed oil drops on driveway and had an occasional puff of smoke from rest to moving (away from lights etc.. not continuous smoke when driving.)

Brought it back to garage and they over filled by 2 litres. They removed excess oil and said would be OK.

Now having a lot more smoke output and idle bouncing. They are taking if back in soon. Any ideas what damage could have caused and to look out for after they fix?
