broken arm of the multiple function switch (1995 850 turbo sedan) 850

The arm of the multiple function switch (amazingly) broke off! It is the one that has the cruise control on as well as the turning lights control. How difficult is it for a DIYer to do it? Any ideas about how to fix it? The dealers asked for $110 (part), $135 labor plus taxes.
