loose console 850 1996

I own a '96 850 Turbo that I purchased new. I recently noticed hearing a slight rattling noise when driving over bumps. I isolated the noise to my center console and was surprised to find that the whole back of the console is loose and can be lifted up. It appears to be loose all the way forward to the area of the gear shift and the door/mirror controls.
I haven't had a chance to look at this close yet and wonder if anyone else has experienced this problem? I assume that I have broken or loose clips that would normally hold the rear portion of the console in place. I have not looked close enought yet to see if there are any screws that are loose or missing that would account for the loose console.
Has anyone else had a problem with a loose console and if so, what was you solution? Thanks in advance to all. Fred.
