Wheel/tire combination 850 1997

The tire hits on the inside of the outer fender, causing the plastic shield to cut thru at the corner and sometimes to bend the horizontal portion of the sheet metal fender down. Worst case is it cuts into the tire just at the edge of the tread. I went with the 205-60x15's as summer tires because I was able to mount that size snow tire on the original Volvo wheels and not have a problem. Granted there is variance between snows and summer tires of the same size. Also the original wheel is a 6.5 with a 43mm offset, not a 7 with a 35mm offset. The tire size listed on the gas filler lid is 205-55x15 and I thought the size difference would not matter as I had already run the snow tires without a problem. If I were sure that the 205-55x15's would not rub with the 7 inch rim with 35mm offset, I would replace the tires and call it a day. I just wanted to hear from someone running that aftermarket wheel to see what their experience was.

Thanks for the input.
