Losing oil 850 1996

Hi Tim

I had the same problem until I realised I wasn't checking the dipstick correctly. I changed the oil at home and more than 5liters came out, despite the dipstick showing a quart low. I concluded that the car is NOT using oil!

Make sure that when you check the oil the car is cold, in milder temperatures the oil was flowing down the dipstick as I pulled it out - giving a 'low' reading.
