Ditto for the Canadian 1998 V70 I likewise purchased in April 1997. It was built in Belgium. The rear was similar to the 850 station wagon and possibly the car you saw had the body trim painted to match the car colour. The major difference was the more rounded interior although Volvo claimed there were 1200 changes from the 850. I think there was an earlier posting, 2-3 months ago that documents many of the differences.
