To chip or not to chip 850 1995

For a grand, you are not going to feel much difference. The standard turbo has more than enough power to do the trick.

Since you have a grand burning a hole in your pocket, I can give you my address so you can send me the check. It will be just as well spent.

I thought about it myself on my 850-R. My wife told me it was a $1000 waste of money. She's right. The car is fast as it is. As for the other guy saying the turbo might go, why would you want to prematurely wear it out? Then you will not only be in the hole for $1000, but then add a new turbo on top of that if you burn it out? Does the other guy care? No. It is not his car or his wallet? Not mine either....but a suggestion...use common sense.

just my .02
