I want to check the computer's odometer..... 850 1995

Recently I drove my 850 almost completely across the country (from utah to new york). I know the trip was suppose to be around 2800 miles, but my odometer says I've gone 4000 miles. I've heard the computer also keeps track of how many miles have been driven, can I get to them with an ODB-II tool? I was thinking of getting the equus, will that be able to read the milage?
