Evaporative Emission Control System Malfunction
114k turbo wagon, thrown this code 3 times in 2 weeks, replaced gas cap but code came back. I appreciated the comments posted earlier aboout a similar code P0442, the description helps that it is a small leak. my code p0440 is only described as system malfunction. What parts are involved in this? mileage seems fine, car runs fine, does the scan tool borrowed from autozone only read a generoc code? and another scanner might give me a more descriptive code than just malfunction?
