Oil filter location 2001 V70 T5? V70-XC70 2001

Folks, I just bought my first Volvo last week. It's a used V70 T5 7 passenger wagon with 33K miles on it. It was a lease return. I took a chance and bought it from one of these middle of the road dealers (not a certified Volvo). It bought it (just under $22K) and put it into Volvo for service immediately to fix an oil leak (turbo return line o-ring still under warranty) and the brakes were shot so I had them put rotors all the way around. This is a very nice car and my kids fight over who gets to ride in the back rear facing seats. It is also very fast, handles really nice, and gets 25 mpg. My question to you guys is where in the heck is the oil filter. Do I have to take off the plastic splash panel below the engine to change the oil? If one has a floor jack where is the best position to lift a V70 wagon a bit for ease of maintenance. Thanks in advance! Chris in CA
