MAP Sensor 98 S70 S70

Hi folks,

I own a 98 S70 with a CEL on and a code of 108-MAP High Voltage. I have a couple of questions:

1) Most of the information I've read on the web says that the MAP sensor should have a vacuum hose connected to it. I've located the MAP sensor on my car, on the right fender, and there is no vacuum hose connected to it-just an electrical connector. Is that OK?

2) Does the code 108, typically mean that replacing the MAP sensor (very expensive part!) will fix the problem?

Thanks,

Vwilly
