Is that 35 psi with the compressor running? If so thats good (25-33 is optimal). If its 35 psi with the compressor OFF then your system is low on R134 and needs some. I don't know about an overheat switch, there is a anti-freeze up sensor on the evaporator that will cycle the compressor off if the evaporator starts to freeze up. There's an over-pressure switch that will cycle the compressor off if the system pressure builds too high. There is a low-pressure switch that cycles the compressor off if the system pressure is too low. I don't know about an overheat switch though, can't find it in the schematics either.
