94 850GLT purchase 850

I am debating whether to purchase a 61,000km 94 850 GLT. The other cars I am looking at are a 92 940GLE, an 84 240 (pristine), and a 1970 144S (with 24000 miles).
I am absolutely new to front wheel drive vehicles and the 5 cylinder engine. I have a 960, a 760 and an 1800, but teh 850 is a totally foreign car to me. What should I be aware of in making a decision about the 850? It will be used for a 50 kilometer commute on a daily basis. The car has 61,000km on it, is automatic, and appears to be in very nice shape. Cloth seats, spartan options. Price is about 8000 Cdn (6000USD?).
