yeah, that's right. I dunno where I read that the early V70s were bugged considering that the mechanics of the 850 were basically transplanted into the first-generation V70. I remember a volvo saleeperson was showing me the engine of the 850 and an S70 when I came to check out an 855. he was showing me that they both share the basic engine. I thought he might be pulling my leg, me being a little wary of car salespeople. I feel more confident in my choice of choosing the '98-'99 V70s now. it's not just how it looks, but now that all the bugs have been debugged.
