2002 S80 2.9 non-turbo with 41,700 miles. This is our fourth Volvo in 28 years and we run high mileage on these. Have been very pleased with this car and would recommend 2002 S80 2.9 to others. Brought it 14 months and 24,000 miles ago from dealer - car was part of a corporate executive fleet. No major or minor problems, and car has not been back to dealer. The car is used for going to the mall and weekend trips of 300-500 miles, and one vacation trip of 3000 miles. We use 89 octane gas and the car runs very well with it at 29mpg highway. I checked the brake pads last week and there is still plenty of wear left. Only real complaint is noisy A/C compressor at idle but noise has not worsen since we owned the car and A/C is very cold. Will run this by the dealer before initial warranty runs out at 50k (Have 100k extended warranty). Wife complains of clicking noise from right door speaker and I have heard this too but have been unable to isolate. Any ideas what this could be?
