Please explain the Wagon Rear Suspension - bad noise coming from it. 850 1996

Greetings again,
I now have the horrible "thump" coming from the back of my wagon when the suspension is loaded/unloaded. I looked underneath & have some questions:

'96 850 Turbo Wagon, 118k miles

1.) there's no anti roll bar (unless I'm stupid AND blind). Is this correct?
2.) everything "looked" okay; ie: springs not broken, springs looked seated okay, nothing visibly loose, etc.
3.) the 2 bars - kind of like a lever system - I haven't seen that setup before. What's the theory, and is that the problem? Again, the bushings looked okay.
4.) Prior postings mention a bushing likely failed somewhere. Where would that be?

FYI, the front suspension is knocking around a little too, but the occasional noise from the back really freaks me out.

As always - thanks for taking the time. -Jim
