SRS light on-Socket b5 stays lit w/jumper ? Cant get fault codes 850 1993

My SRS dash light is on, but when I try to pull the fault codes by putting the lead into socket B5 the light immediatley comes on and stays on. When I press the button the light seems to intensify slighty, but no codes, just constant light? There is only 1 lead for both sides right? Any input appreciated!
