brake light bulbs V70-XC70 2002

I have taken off the speaker screen, pulled out the red pin and am attempting to lift out and up the speaker to gain access toi the brake lite bulb.....it is very hard to pull up and out on the speaker - how hard do you have to pull?? any tricks I do not want to snap any plastic parts.
