A biased reply V70-XC70 1998

Based on over 26 years of using and selling AMSOIL synthetic.

You should be able to go at least as long as the longest recommended oil drain interval with any of the name-brand synthetics on the market.
I've been running AMSOIL synthetics in my cars, using a 25,000 mile/ 1 year drain interval (half that for filter change) in my non-turbos. In my turbos, I change yearly or 10,000 miles--and am willing to accept that I'm probably throwing away good oil.

If you run some oil analysis, you can set your own safe drain interval.
