Towing Capacity V70-XC70 2004

I live just north of Massena in Ontario and the XC70 is my winter vehicle of choice. I find it much superior to the FWD 850/V70, not only for superior traction, but safety and ground clearance in all inclimate weather. Can't see any problems towing a small trailer either. Here's the details from my '04 hitch sticker:

Make: Brink (OEM for Volvo)
Maximum trailer weight: 1500 lbs (1650)
Maximum towable weight: 3300 lbs (with brakes & 2" ball, 2000 with 1 7/8" ball)
Maximum tongue weight: 110 lbs
with electric brakes: 165 lbs (165)
Class 2

(The 2004 XC70 manual values are in brackets)

You might consider the 2003 when they introduced the electric Haldex AWD system. I believe the 2002 AWD may have the older viscous coupling AWD. Good luck.
