electrical-'live' cigarette lighter socket question S40-V40

You could put an adapter in one of the fuses that are on all the time, connect it to a cartridge fuse holder with a fuse equal to the one that runs the lighter, remove the lighter fuse and feed the fused side from the cartridge fuse.

What else is on the lighter fuse?

Another scheme would be to add a generic lighter socket, protected by a cartridge fuse, to a source of unswitched power. This socket would be on its own.
