Removing brake fluid reservoir--any problems? 850 1997

I have a 1997 850 wagon and want to remove the brake fluid reservoir so I can clean both chambers and see when my fluid starts to get dirty. There's a Tork screw on the underside of the reservoir holding it in place, and I know there's an O-ring down there somewhere. If I remove the Tork screw and muscle up on the reservoir to remove it, will I wind up having to replace the O-ring or whatever seals the reservoir in place? I'm out in the middle of East Jesus Nowhere, and if I find myself needing a new part, I won't be able to drive in to my nearest Volvo dealer (thirty miles away) to get it. I have a lot of major servicing to do on this car, and I want to change out the brake fluid and clean the reservoir when I begin. Somebody knowledgeable, please respond and calm my fears. I've worked on a lot of Volvos and had my share of nasty surprises. I don't need another one. Dick
