What about the S70? S80

Different tranny altogether. I have a 98 V70 Base model, original tranny, with 97k miles on it. Just keep the fluid clean and you should be good to go. Now, that is not to say that any tranny will be fine, but the S/V 70 Base tranny is a good unit, unlike the S80 P.O.S. I believe the S/V 70 tranny is Japanese in origin.
