Groaning noise from front when turning 850

Okay, before I take the T5R in to the dealer for some very expensive work, maybe someone can enlighten me as to the solution and maybe I can fix it. My 95 850 T5R makes a very loud groaning noice from the front when turning full lock either left or right. I don't get the noise unless it if fully locked in turn.

What could be causing this noise? how can I inspect the suspected part? what am I looking for, and how difficult is it to replace?

Thanks all

Lawren.
