1998 or 2001 V70 - which on should I buy? Southwest Auto?? V70-XC70

I will be purchasing a used Volvo soon and have been doing quite a bit of research over the past few months. I want a V70, but can't decide upon the year. I've been told that the '98 is a good choice because of something to do with the computer chip?? I've also been looking at the 2001 because it has 6 airbags. Does anyone have any info on either of these year Volvos or any advice they can lend me? Also, I've been looking at Southwestauto.com for cars. They seem to have very reasonable prices. Anyone any any info on this dealer? Thanks a bunch!!
