S80 transmission failure, What breaks? S80 1999

General Motors transmissions in S80's are serviced through Volvo's exchange program as complete assemblies. The exchange cores are rebuilt by a Delco Remy plant in Chicago. Whether you have a 1999 S80 with 100,000 miles, or a 2004 S80 with 10 miles, the rebuilt exchange part comes out of the same plant in Chicago, from the same pool of returned cores.
