advice needed on purchase

I came close to buying a 1998 S70 T5 with 51000 miles but didn't like the valve clatter I heard. So I had a dealer look it over and they diagnosed the common oil pump O-ring problem causing low oil pressure. Given this is a turbo, I worry there's excess wear on the turbo, and possibly lifters etc. that will shorten the life of things. I kept my last 850 to 212K and was hoping to do the same this time. Am I being too cautious? Any opi nions would be appreciated.
