94, won't start, now will start 850

I have a 94 850 turbo wagon, on Monday night I took my Chesapeake Bay Retreiver to the Vets in it. Came out, went to start the 850, won't start, turns over, but does not sound like it is getting a spark. Called tow truck, tow truck came and towed it to garage. Me and the Chessie walked home.

Next day around noon, Pete the mechanic called. Asked, " What is wrong with your Volvo?" I replied, "It won't start". He replied, " What do you mean, it won't start, listen, " veroom, veroom, veroom in background.

Has anyone any suggestions or history of such behaviour? (Flash backs of owning a 1979 Triumph Spitfire are now upon me) But the only thing that keeps me sane is a Volvo is not British.

Also, for the last month or so, the turbo is not giving a full boost anymore.
