Snow Tires for new S40 S40-V40

I've just purchased a 2005 S40 with 205/55/16 all season tires on "Caligo" alloy rims. I've got a set of four good "Nordfrost" snow tires on steel rims from my old 1995 850 wagon, (185/65/15). The bolt pattern measures the same on both sets of rims, however by my calculations my snow tires are 13/32" or 10.4 mm smaller in overall diameter. Can anyone comment as to whether they will work, on the new S40, or am I just asking for trouble? (I live in the Toronto area, so snows are not an absolute necessity, but provide peace of mind from January through March).
