Stumble/hesitation on acceleration or when under load S60 2002

I took it to my indie shop and he cleaned the throttle body, but not in the usual way. He didn't tear everything apart, what he did was open the system up (not sure where) and sprayed some cleaner in while someone was gently pressing the accelerator. The car runs so much better now. It still does hesitate every so often (more when cold) but I would say that it's 90% cured of the problem. I'm sure that if we spent the time taking it apart then it would be even better but I can live with it this way if it means not having to pay $450+ at the dealer for their TB cleaning.
