Odometer / Tripmeter Failed - Questions...

I believe the odometer in your '97 is digital, not mechanical, like in my '98 v70.

If evertyhing was working before, then most likely is loose cables back there.

Did you disconnect the battery when you were replacing the bulbs? If you did not is possible that you shortcircuit the odometer, which is replaceable by itself and is called the trip computer. No need to replace the whole cluster. Check the wreckyards for one.
