Power window failure 850 1996

Sorry all I forgot to include the year and make in previous post

The driver side power window is not working. All other windows (passenger front, and both rears work. I have removed the master window switch located in front of the floor shifter and attempted to clean the terminals; however the driver side window is still not functioning. How can I check to see if it a fault in the master switch, or if it is a bad window motor? Would a volt meter work for this? if so, any ideas on how to test this? Is it possible that the master fuse is bad (i believe the master fuse is a 20A in slot 37)?

Any help on this matter is much appreciated.

Regards
Chris
