Power window failure 850 1996

The switch module is known to fail on these cars (happened to me) and the individual switches are not designed to be replaceable. The unit is also sealed so the idea of squirting contact cleaner or whatever into the switch area doesn't help. The module is also expensive. You can save yourself some money by installing it yourself however. Just dismantle the centre console as you would if replacing the shift selector bulb, and unplug the module from the attached harness and plug in the new one.
