valve tap 850 1996

hello

I am noticing valve tap noise for a brif interval during acceleration at about 15-1700 RPM. If I keep the RPM constant at that 15-1700 mark then I hear continuous tapping. I dont know if this is normal since I only hear it with the windows open and I havent been driving much that way untill recently. My oil level(fully synthetic...regular changes)is between the lines. My 805 GLT only has 80,000 miles. I use cheap gas since the prices here in Cali are insane. Is the noise anything to worry about? No fault codes have been triggered. Thanks for any input

Eric
