Air Mass Meter S70 1999

Hi,

When the TCM goes it can fial in a number of ways:
Usually it starts with a 'skip and stumble' where the engine hesitates slightly while cruising (with aircon turned off - aircon cycling feels similar).
Sometimes the idle can be a little rough and at its worst it suddenly loses all power and won't do more than 20mph flat out.

All failures will evcentually bring on either the ETS light (sudden power loss) or the Check Engine Light. If sudden failure is experienced turn off the ignition, wait 5 minutes then restart and it usually runs fine again for a bit.

Hopefully you'll never have it but if you have more than 60,000 miles its just a matter of time.... Mine started playing up at 95,000 miles and failed totally at 115,000...

Alastair
