problem with the electrical with the 2001 S-60 S60 2001

As you might have gathered, todays Volvos are NOTHING like the durable, (almost) trouble-free cars of the past. They're seriously over-complicated thus prone to electrical problems.
Realize that the headlamps are normally on all the time (unless you have them switched off via Vadis, dealer) so they don't last as long as other cars.
The alarm problem could be a sensor related problem but it often takes a very good, dilegent (motivated) tech to go through the efforts of trying to duplicate the problem and finding a bad sensor, IF that's the problem. If a dealer can't duplicate your concern and if there are no fault codes stored, it's nearly impossible to know why you're having a problem.
