How to clear Service indicator from the message center(2002 V70)? V70-XC70 2002

hi,
they are all slighly different, some the trip resets back to its original figure then you let go the button, some you let go when the service light starts to flash, some you let go when the message "serviced required" shows in the display box,andf there are some that you let go the button when the warning triangle in the middle of the guages starts to flash.....
if none of these work then either a: you are not doing it right or b:you should not be resetting the light anyway (its done when the car is serviced).
