Keyless entry system - alarm system 850 1997

I have a 1997 855 5sp T AWD with the factory keyless entry / alarm system. Since the remote key-fob would not activate the locks or alarms I reprogrammed the car's receiver. Now, the doors will lock AND the alarm will set when either button on the remote is pressed. The doors WILL NOT unlock and the alarm WILL NOT deactivate when pressing either one of the button on the remote. I have tried another key fob I have with the same results. (The alarm will deactivate when I use the key in the door and ignition.)

Does anyone know how get the system set up to also unlock doors and deactivate the alarm??
